Man posed as young woman on internet to con teenage boy into performing sex act on camera
When police raided Keith David Atkinson’s computer , they discovered more than 65,000 chat log messages from more than 700 individual chats.
One of the chats involved a teenage boy who thought he was talking to a 21-year-old woman, Mold Crown Court was told.
But it was in fact Atkinson, who persuaded him to perform a sex act on himself to the camera.
Many chats involved young girls
when he pretended to be a young man, the court heard.
Atkinson, 52, also had indecent films, mainly involving under aged girls, reports the Daily Post .
The defendant, of Pippin’s Close in Shotton – who since his arrest has given up his employment – was jailed for 18 months.
He was ordered to register with the police as a sex offender for ten years and he was made the subject of a ten year sexual harm prevention order.
Earlier this month Atkinson admitted two charges of making indecent videos between August 2005 and June of last year and an incitement charge going back to 2013.
He admitted possessing five indecent videos, four at the worst category A and one at category B.
Duncan Bould, prosecuting, said Atkinson was arrested in June of last year when police, acting on intelligence, went to his home and seized his computer equipment.
