Usain Bolt: “Would be like a dream come true” to play for Manchester United
Usain Bolt has already conquered one sport, and the Jamaican still seems set on plying his trade in another.
The 30-year-old has been an open Manchester United supporter for years, but with his international track career winding down, Bolt believes he has something to prove in soccer.
“For me, if I could get to play for Manchester United, that would be like a dream come true,” Bolt said in an in-depth interview with the Guardian . “Yes, that would be epic.”
Bolt has reportedly been in contact with various important figures in the soccer world, including Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel, who will soon be allowing the sprinter an opportunity to train with the club in Germany.
While the likelihood of Bolt becoming a football star, or even making a major professional roster, is quite low, it has been done before with athletes changing sports.
